v5 God is kind and forgiving, abounding in love to those who call to him.

v7 David knows God will answer him.

v7 This seems to look to the future towards other troubled times.

How does David describe God?

v8 No other god is like God. God does deeds no other gods can do.

This is forward looking to when the Gentiles are brought into relationship with God.

Genesis 22:15-18 The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time 16 and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have … not withheld your son, … 17 I will surely bless you …and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."

Isaiah 49: 6 … I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

Daniel 7:13,14 … there before me was one like a son of man, ... He approached the Ancient of ... 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. ..

The people who don’t worship God will still bow down.

v10 God does marvelous deeds. Only God is God.

These verses imply that all the other gods will pass into insignificance and people from all nations will worship God.

Revelation 15:1-3 They held harps given them by God 3and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty…. 4Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."
